After doing some comedy at an open mic, I finally gave into my craving for chocolate chip cookies. So, I “binged” (as opposed to “googled”) a recipe and found one from allrecipes.com. I used Bing instead of Google because Bing lets you build up points, which are redeemable for gift cards and such. Anyhow, I do not own the recipe, just the cookies that I made. Then, I took off my belt and socks for some reason and began to make the recipe. At first I was using my big Pyrex Glass bowl and Calphalon spatula. Calphalon is a brand of cookware products owned by Newell Rubbermaid. Calphalon cookware has stick resistant surfaces made of anodized aluminum rather than the more common Teflon(unsafe) coating.
After I started mixing, I quickly realized that I have a Ninja Blender! This blender has a dough making setting! OMG! OMG! OMG! After that, I swallowed my pride and just dumped the rest of the ingredients into the Ninja and hit the “dough” button! So easy! So easy my ex-roommate could even do it! That last sentence was probably harsh and unnecessary but I already typed two sentences about it, so, I’m keeping it.
Sure, it jammed up some after I dumped three (3) cups of flour into it… but I learned a lesson; dump a little bit of flour in, slowly next time. If you would like to use the recipe, just click “Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies” above. That’s a hyperlink that you can click on to go to the recipe. All homemade. All delicious. Most of the ingredients are organic. I just like to eat as much organic food as possible due to my weird personal beliefs. That’s for another time. I say weird as a form of “insurance for your opinion of me,” if you will. The statement, “if you will” is interesting, too. That’s for another time, as well.
Moving on… The worst part of cooking at home is cleaning up the kitchen! I HATE cleaning the kitchen but I do admit that I do love a clean kitchen. I need to stop bitchin’. Kitchen bitchin. Yeah, new term to use. Kitchen bitchen. Anyway, Andyhow, Andy… That’s me. Weird, wait, losing focus. I can smell the cookies. I’m typing this to pass the time until they’re done baking. hahaha I’m baking something and I’m not even baked. I don’t know if this post is even good for my comedy career but I like random posts every now and then. However, I don’t like random posts when I’m walking and then run into one. OUCH!
I just checked the cookies and they are almost done! I’ll post a picture soon. I’ll probably post a picture of them before I post this blog entry; which won’t make sense to you because you’re going to see them all together, altogether. Okay, they’re done! The pic is below. I’m sure they’ll taste great but I don’t think my homemade cookies are shaped according to most accepted standards.
Thanks for reading! 😀
